This document is a training manual for primary and secondary caregivers of orphans and other vulnerable children in Uganda. This training manual works to address some of the psychosocial effects that children living with poverty, conflict, abuse, and parental death experience. Module one provides an overview of what constitutes psychosocial well-being and modules two through four provide information and ideas on how to practically promote psychosocial well-being. Module five, the last module, gives an overview of care for caregivers. Each manual utilizes a number of participatory learning activities such as group work, pictures, brainstorming, lectures, debates, and case studies.
