This Guidance Note is part of the resource kit for high impact programming that provides easy, concise, and practical guidance on key areas of the AIDS response. It was produced by the UNAIDS Secretariat in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Working Group on HIV and Social Protection, Care, and Support. It incorporates expertise from UNAIDS and the experiences of the Cosponsors and partners on HIV and social protection. This note administers information on the recommended investments in HIV and social protection and highlights the definitions, principles, evidence and practices for effective HIV and social protection programming. This guidance note can be applied to different populations and places particular attention to specific groups, including key populations.
