Authors: Alexander Butchart, Susan Hillis
Organization: World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

This resource is aimed toward all those charged with the protection of children–including government, civil society organizations, communities, private sector, and families.  The title acronym stands for the seven strategies to prevent violence against children and adolescents: Implementation and enforcement of laws; Norms and values; Safe environments; Parent and caregiver support; Income and economic strengthening; Response and support services; and Education and life skills.  Two cross-cutting activities included in the strategy are multisectoral actions and coordination and monitoring and evaluation.  The guide ends with implementation considerations for governments and program implementers.
