October 1, 2018
Organization: Catholic Relief Services, Coordinating Comprehensive Care for Children

The Coordinating Comprehensive Care for Children Project (4Children) explored the integration of early childhood development (ECD) into HIV programming with the goal of reviewing evidence to determine ways that programs could improve pediatric HIV case identification and treatment and developmental outcomes through integration of ECD into clinical care encounters. 4Children conducted a comprehensive literature review and extensive key informant interviews with experts in the field of early childhood development. Data collected from interviews was used to validate the initial findings and prioritize next steps. The resulting Summary Report on Integrating Early Childhood Development Interventions into HIV Clinical Care Encounters, in conclusion, provides suggestions for programming.
