September 12, 2016
Organization: The Republic of Uganda

Uganda is one of the youngest countries in the world with 49 percent of the population under 15 years of age.  The National Action Plan for Child Wellbeing aligns five goals with the Sustainable Development Goals; namely, survival, development, protection, participation and implementation.  The National Action Plan outlines three objectives, 1) better health 2) better nutrition and 3) better care for children.  Measurable actions and national targets are tied to each objective and roles and responsibilities are listed for each level of society to ensure that all spheres of influence are contributing to child wellbeing.
