The ASPIRES Vulnerability Assessment Handbook for Economic Strengthening Projects provides guidance for implementers looking to understand the economic vulnerabilities and strengths of their participant populations. ASPIRES held a webinar on May 10, 2017 to give an overview for the handbook, an introduction to vulnerability assessment methods, a framework for understanding economic vulnerability in the HIV context, and common research methods for assessing vulnerability. Then, ASPIRES brought theory to practice by reviewing field-tested tools and how to select or adapt those tools to reach project goals.
