The 4Children project hosted a learning event in May that shared the available evidence, and knowledge gaps, on community and family-based interventions for vulnerable children in HIV-affected contexts in Africa.
The session featured three information-rich presentations focused on issues related to Children in Adversity. Topics discussed included:
Prof. Lorraine Sherr:
“Are community based organizations too complex to be evaluated? If not how on earth would you do it?”
Prof. Lucie Cluver:
“Parenting for lifelong health: development, disasters and diffusion.”
Prof. Jini Roby
“The limited evidence base around children in informal care: what we know, what we don’t know and what we need to know.”
