The Global Social Service Workforce Alliance produces a State of the Social Service Workforce Alliance Report to gather the evidence into a stronger base for advocacy to improve the quality of care provided to vulnerable children and families.  In 2016, the Alliance issued their second report in which they assess the evolution of the social service workforce since 2010 in these eight countries: Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, Zimbabwe.  The report outlines major accomplishments, planning activities, education and training, and support for the social service workforce systems in these countries.  The data is combined into a chapter highlighting emerging issues and concludes with future vision and next steps for creating a strong social service workforce.
