Violence against children can have lifelong negative impacts that can be passed down generations. The purpose of this report, developed by UNICEF, is to provide decision makers and other partners with strategies that prevent and respond to violence in the lives of children. This report includes interventions addressing interpersonal violence towards children in a variety of settings (school, work, home and wider community). In addition to case studies that display positive impacts on prevention and response approaches, six strategies for action are highlighted. Policymakers, government officials and donors may use these six key strategies to produce significant results in preventing and responding to violence against children.
