While research and information gathering is necessary to improving the lives of children and adolescents, it is critical that this be done in a respectful and protective way. This publication provides guidance and resources to researchers and program managers for better maintaining high ethical standards of both themselves and partners and addressing a wide range of information gathering approaches that include the voices of children and adolescents. The purpose of this publication is to stimulate discussions on ethical practices surrounding children and adolescents and to promote collaboration among program managers, researchers, and other actors.
