Nigeria developed national guidelines and standards with the aim of strengthening existing safety nets and delivery of resources that support community and family values. These guidelines and standards serve as a resource for other governments and actors seeking to standardize national practice on orphans and vulnerable children. Programmers are also encouraged to monitor and asses the quality and quantity of interventions for vulnerable children in order to promote effect efforts that can be scaled up and adopted by governments.
