This Zimbabwe pilot study examined the acceptability and feasibility of an integrated mental health and HIV stepped-care approach in nurses, community health workers, and traditional medicine practitioners. This study indicates that integration of mental health and HIV services can expand availability of mental health services for people living with HIV. Among other recommendations, the authors recommend that the stepped-care approach outlined in the study should be adapted and extended to sites serving the needs of adolescent and pediatric populations living with HIV.
