Systems strengthening of child protection systems is both comprehensive and sustainable. This includes improving laws, policies, services and regulations across all sectors to provide effective and efficient approaches to child protection, as well as prevention. Particularly influential sectors include education, social welfare, health, security and justice. This resource guide offers practical tools and resources for international and country level policymakers, donors and those providing technical assistance in systems strengthening. Resources in this guide include 1) mapping and assessing the system; 2) planning for system strengthening; 3) implementing plans, programs and policies; and 4) monitoring and evaluating for system performance.
