Organization: U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief

Through the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, the U.S. is the largest bilateral donor to the global HIV/AIDS response. The strategy put forth in this document aims to achieve control of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in 10 high-burdened countries by the end of 2020 through a particular focus on 13 priority high-burdened countries. While supporting the UNAIDS 90-90-90 global goals, PEPFAR’s strategy outlines the approach and definition it will use for epidemic control and demonstrates how it is possible through a case study from Swaziland.
